UFO List

It seems to be that time again. I've been completing a number of knitted items lately, but it seems that I still have a huge quantity waiting for some sort attention. And I admit, I'm a guilty knitter. I want to finish, but sometimes casting on is so much more fun. But here's the Debbie Bliss Shawl Collared Wraparound Cardigan. (Don't be deceived, the pockets are not sewn yet. I'm waiting for my mother to pin them down straight.)

I also finished the Leo Sweater for Shawn. Since it's still too warm in So. Cal. he hasn't worn it yet. I can't wait for cold weather and a photo op.

On the needles:
  1. Debbie Bliss Triangle Edged Baby Shawl in Rowan 4 ply
  2. Irish Hiking Scarf in Paton's Classic Merino Wool
  3. Interweave Knits Pullover Caftan in Debbie Bliss Cathay
  4. Pinwheel Sweater in elaan High Peruvian Wool

I still have the baby bunting to finish. I haven't conquered the whole "armystces" and "shoulder extensions". I will though. I have 19 weeks to do it!

There are a couple of patterns that have my interest (at the moment). One is the Rusted Root pattern by Zephyr Style. There is a KAL on Craftster. I won this ebay auction. It's four skeins of Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece yarn in Rue. I can't wait to start this.

I would also like to Cast On for Sweater that I saw in Vogue Knitting (the current issue). I am bidding on some Filatura di Crosa Zara yarn and I hope that I win. You know, ebay is a cut throat business to some knitters. I mean, I ♥ yarn, but I wouldn't continue bidding if I wasn't saving something on the auction. But man, oh man! The bids I see on there sometimes are a bit overwhelming. You'd think we had a sheep shortage!

This week:

9/11: 6:30-8:30 I will be attending my first of the Wilton Cake Decorating Class at Michael's. (I'm also picking up some more Paton's Classic Merino Wool and sketch book to make a "Comfort Journal". I was given this advice by a book called "The Woman's Comfort Book" by Jennifer Lounden. Good idea for those of us who are creative and need a little "self help".)

9/17: 2-5 I will be taking a spinning class at Stitch Cafe.

I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it!
