What are the chances?
What are the chances that I would knit a sock, on the same size needles, the same yarn, and the same pattern, and it still be too small? I had been working diligently on the second Monkey sock that I started well over a month ago, in Koigu. Last night I finished the heel, did the gusset, did the foot and started the toe decreases. Today I did the last few decreases and finished it. To my dismay, the sock is too small. I don't know what happened. I always copy my notes from the first sock, so that my second sock is the right size. Where did I go wrong?
My choices are:
a. frog the entire sock and start over
b. frog back to the heel and make the heel and foot longer, (which is obviously the problem, but I don't know if it's due to me possibly knitting with smaller needles - I am sure I used size 1's)
c. frog both socks and start over, just to be sure)
d. frog both socks and make something else with the Koigu
What would you do?

A or B.
Love the new look, btw.
hmm...what a choice. Can you check the gauge (maybe on the sole of the foot) and see if that was the problem? If it was gauge, I'd pick b and use a size larger needles. But after finishing two whole socks, I don't think I could frog both and start all over again.
I'm with Nora. I'd try A first, and if that doesn't work, then B. Good luck!
I agree with Nora. Can you figure out where you differed?
i think i would do b. unless you think that the sizes of those socks are terribly different and you will be aware of that while you're wearing them. what about shrinkage in the dryer? i've never made socks from koigu so i don't know whether they;ll shrink or not?
