Knitting Olympics

I have decided that I will join the Yarn Harlot's Knitting Olympics. I'd like to think that I am not setting myself up for failure, but 16 days doesn't give me a whole lot of time. But I am determined to make this happen.

The project: I chose a Debbie Bliss pattern. It comes from the "Easy Knits" book. I'm finally going to work on something for myself, (and even keep it!). It is the Woman's Alpaca Wraparound Cardigan on p. 54. Here is a picture of the actual jacket

The pattern calls for Novita Alpaca, but since the yarn is no longer made, I bought a nice dark brown shade in Paton's Classic Merino Wool. We'll see what happens!

Time to cast on and start swatching!

What a great wrap! Brown is my color these days so I'm excited to see how it comes out for you. :)

I have that book and love that pattern! So glad you decided to knit it, now I'll know how it goes. No pressure ;-) Good luck with the Knitting Olympics. Will there be medals?

Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. Come by anytime!

Hi
Just wondered if you ever finished that Debbie Bliss wrap-around jacket?
I am sitting here wondering whether to begin the very same project and would be useful to know how it turned out.

Thanks!
