I ♥ Yarn
I'd been waiting patiently, (yeah, *snort*, right), for my Rowan to come in the mail. There are both benefits and drawbacks from ordering on eBay. The benefit? You can find almost anything on eBay, (if you look hard enough). Another benefit? I paid nearly1/2 the price for these beautiful, holy, precious, lovely, seven skeins of yarn than I would have if I had purchased them from a LYS. (And while I'm all for supporting the local yarn shops, I'm not for supporting price gauging. I want to knit. At a decent price.) The disadvantage? Having to wait over a week to see my beautiful, holy, precious, lovely, seven skeins of yarn in the mail. Oh the worry that the post man may not have gotten it to the right address!
But it's beautiful. And holy. And precious. And lovely. (For those of you who don't know, wool/cotton by Rowan or Debbie Bliss are my number one buys! Maybe it's because it's what I started with. Maybe it's because I know what to expect. Maybe it's because I could never say anything bad about this wonderful yarn.) I almost don't want to knit it. I almost want to put it in a box and keep it forever. But who are we kidding. Even when I don't ♥ knitting, I ♥ knitting. Rusted Root here I come!
Do you know where she (the pattern) came from? I bet you don't. But if you click here you will find out and you will love every pattern that is in the preview. Don't believe me? Click it. Do it. You know you want to. So I believe once I buy my copy I will be wanting to cast on for her too!
And after learning that the Empire Waist Sweater wouldn't fit around half of my bust, I have thrown that pattern in the trash and decided that if this sweater can fit, I will most definitely be searching for the most perfect yarn for it quite soon.
I've decided I don't mind having a bazillion projects on needles. It doesn't matter to me. As long as I'm knitting, I'm happy. And happiness. It's all that matters, right?

All that matters!
I like ordering online, because you gt the thrill of pruchasing it and then a thrill again when it arrives. Even if it is al ittle wait. Love those online bargains. I really have to try that wool/cotton. Either variety!
I'm never that lucky on ebay --- although I don't visit there too often.
I love the yarn color!
Too funny! My son looked at that beautiful cable sweater and said: "I bet I know where you can find it?"
"Where?" I said
"Vogue Knitting". He replied and don't you know that he was right!!
Train them up early.....hehehehe
WOW! That's some serious knittin'... Love the yarn - u have great taste!
I love e-bay, but I hate the wating too. That is a gorgeous sweater.
That is a beautiful sweater. I love the color
I'm an e-bay yarn addict. We only have 3 yarn shops (I think it's 3) on the Isle of Man so if you want something special like Rowan or Debbie Bliss it's gotta be online.
I know what you mean re wanting to stash it away. It such lovely scrummy yarn it almost seems a shame to knit it up. All those lovely yarn cakes. Yum!
