Sock It To Me

Today was a day of hustle and bustle. We were running around doing errands. I swear, we really did look like chickens running around with their heads chopped off. (Bad analogy, huh?) Anyway, I was happy to find this at the local bookstore:

Someone from my sock knitting group suggested I try this book because I seem to lack in the measurement skills. And I do. But this book, oh it's gonna change my life! You'd better believe it!

And that's when I found these beauties:

They are from Blue Moon Fiber Arts. The colorways are called Fred Flinstone, Jasper and Saratoga. They look absolutely delectable. And I've heard such good things about the Socks that Rock collection, so I'm thinking I'll have to choose one. Or two. Or three.

What beautiful colorways! I love Socks that Rock yarn.

A friend of mine is knitting up a pair of socks with Fred Flintstone --- it is perfect for autumn! (I picking some up on my next visit to The Fold).

That is the best book for sock knitting. I've knit several patterns with it. Good choice. If you need any help please drop me an email. I would be glad to help you.

I've been lusting after the Jasper. I'ts so pretty. Thanks for helping me find colors you like.

Sockret Pal Spoiler:D

I have that book and it's great. As for socks that rock - it's beautiful yarn but if you don't get the right circumference it pools horribly. Right now I have my first non-pooling pair on the needles - 56 stitches on size 0. Enjoy your sock knitting!

I LOVE that book! Haven't actually knit rom it yet - but I had a similar response "this is going to change my sock knitting life!" Now I feel like I can jsut take any old yarn and make socks!

I've just gotten some of the Jasper STR - in the heavyweight. makes for a super-quick FO! It is delectable.
