I Got Gauge!

Me thinks that bedrest is going to get me in trouble! Trouble with a capital T. I joined, yet another, KAL.
But it makes sense, doesn't it? I am working on the Vogue Winter 2006 Cabled Tunic Sweater and another Cabled Irish Hiking Scarf.

And after yesterday, I started my gauge for the Frost Jacket in Norah Gaughan's Knitting Nature. And since there is Cable work in the jacket, I can also work on this for the Fall Cable KAL and the Knitting Nature KAL.

So lastnight I cast on for my gauge swatch and I got gauge!

I'm subbing the Handpainted Wool that Norah used for this jacket with RYC Cashsoft DK in Crush. Most of my knitting friends know that Rowan is, by far, my most favorite yarn company. Cashsoft is no exception. This may be my most favorite yarn to work with. It knits beautifully and is so extremely soft. I have faith that this will make a wonderfully warn and luscious jacket.

I know you are jealous. I would be too. But I'm not, because I'm making this baby for me!

Oooh - you're starting the Frost Jacket. It is going to be something in CashSoft. This is near and dear on my to-do list - but I'm intimidated, and have put it off. Maybe I'll just jump on in!
