Scout Cassidy

Our little one arrived early, by 4 weeks and 5 days according to my due date.
Thursday, around 7 p.m. I started having cramps so my Dr. told us to meet her at Labor and Delivery. We got a room at about 9 p.m. and they started giving me terbutaline shots to stop the contractions. (They weren't bad, but they were 2-3 minutes apart.) At that point I was 1 cm dilated. No prob.
Until the next shot came and the contractions continued. 2 cm dilated.
It was time to get in the OR. Everything went well, but for an adverse reaction to the morphine.
Shawn looked worried, but I am so proud of him. And of Scout.

He even cut the cord!

Here's me, half out of it, seeing her for the first time.

In her birthday suit, on December 21, 2006 at 11:58 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs. and 15 oz. and measured 19 3/4".

Our bundle of joy.

She's amazing. Definitely a Christmas miracle. She loves to sleep, just like her mama. And she has a lot of daddy's faces...especially the grouchy ones! But she's wonderful.

Merry Christmas to all of my friends and family!
