Getting Better
Well I'm getting better. No, I wasn't sick. The past few nights I've had a lot of trouble sleeping. I can't fall asleep. I can't stay asleep. Tuesday night Shawn had to wake me up because I was tossing and turning, and moaning pretty loud. I don't know what caused it, but the right side of my lower stomach was cramping. Not contractions, mind you. (We aren't ready for that yet!) I couldn't lay on my right side because it was too much pressure. And if you only knew! I have to fall asleep on my stomach. It doesn't help that I'm almost 7 months pregnant and my belly is only expanding! *sigh* I'm just so damn tired. Plus, as some of you know, I suffer from bipolar disorder and this pregnancy, the move and my son are all added stressors. I've kinda been out of it. I'm so lucky to have Shawn. I don't think I could do all of this without him. In fact, I know I couldn't. Lastnight he decided to take me out to dinner. So we grabbed a bit to eat at Red Robin's. It was pretty nice to not have to cook, though cooking is a pretty good therapy...just like knitting.
Or shopping for knitting supplies. Maybe even a little spinning? That's right. While ordering on etsy, I found a place that makes drop spindles and has rovings. They also sell on ebay. So I ordered this pretty little set:
They had four sets I believe, you can check out their store at etsy, it's called Maine Woods Yarn. They sell handmade drop spindles, rovings and handspun yarn. And since I've wanted to learn to spin, I figured maybe a drop spindle kit would be knifty. I can't wait to get started. (As though I need yet another hobby, right?)
In the midst of homework (Jem's, not mine), cleaning, buying furniture (our couches will be delivered Saturday and I'm soooo excited), nursing Scarlett back to health (she has allergies that were really making her ears icky), being pregnant and everything else, I decided to put my Kitchen Aid Mixer to use and make this deliciousness:
Bon appetit!

The pie looks luscious! I started spinning the same way - a little kit I found on EBay . . . wait till you get started - you'll be hooked (no pun intended!)
